Tucked into a leafy corner of Sark, the Dixcart Hotel has welcomed visitors for generations, and it still feels like the kind of place where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Set in its own gardens just a short stroll from the Avenue and the village centre, it's an easy base for exploring an island with no cars, where the pace is set by bicycles, horse-drawn carriages and your own two feet.
Inside, you'll find comfortable en-suite rooms, a relaxed bar with and restaurant serving fresh local produce, with seafood landed close by and vegetables grown on the island. The sunny garden is ideal for a long lunch or an evening drink after a day on the cliff paths.
From the hotel door, you can walk to Dixcart Bay, the Coupée and the island's celebrated dark skies, or simply pause for a cream tea and watch island life go by. Whether you're here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, the Dixcart offers a warm, unpretentious welcome in the heart of Sark.
