Tucked into the heart of Sark, the Restaurant at Stocks Hotel is where the island comes to the table. Every evening, a carefully crafted menu celebrates the extraordinary produce that surrounds this tiny Island, drawn from within a five mile radius, including the exclusive three mile territorial waters that fringe the island's shores.
For over forty years, a devoted circle of local fishermen, farmers, and growers have supplied the Stock's Hotel with, sustainably harvested ingredients, people who know their land and sea intimately, and whose quiet dedication shapes every plate.
The kitchen's closest collaborator, however, is just 250 metres away. Sark's first ever market garden, designed by hotel owner Helen Magell who grows her produce on permaculture principles, a living larder of organic produce that moves from soil to stove with barely a journey in between.
Inside, the dining room is warm, oak-panelled, and unhurried.
Doors open at 6pm for evening sittings only, with two services each night.
The menu shifts with the seasons, balancing creative flair with an honest respect for flavour.
Reservations are essential for residents and visitors alike.
